MyFonts.com To Offer 400 Letraset Typefaces New Partnership Expands
MyFonts.com Portfolio to Over 27,000 Fonts
CAMBRIDGE, MA — April 07, 2003 — MyFonts.com, a subsidiary of Bitstream Inc. ( Nasdaq:BITS ), today announced the addition of 400 typefaces from Letraset Ltd., a well-respected medium for design professionals. With this addition, MyFonts.com expands to offer 27,000 fonts from over 100 world-renowned font foundries.

"MyFonts.com is delighted to offer 400 typefaces from such a well respected graphic design company," explained John Collins, Vice President and CTO of MyFonts.com. "From its inception, MyFonts.com has focused on making fonts easily accessible to everyone, not just graphic designers. With the addition of 400 typefaces from Letraset, we further our mission of making it easy for everyone to find, try and buy fonts online."

"Letraset believes in the mission of MyFonts.com," stated Martin Gibbs, Managing Director of Letraset Ltd., "and we are excited to be participating in MyFonts.com."

Letraset, founded in London in 1959, introduced the revolutionary instant dry transfer lettering, an exciting and innovative medium for commercial artists and designers. By putting the emphasis on quality, technical development and marketing strategy, Letraset made what could so easily have become a "gimmick" into an essential design tool.

Its range of products has become known and respected by professional users throughout the world, developing far beyond its Dry Transfer origins. Above all, Letraset has remained true to its founders' belief in typography.

Letraset launched its instant lettering dry transfer product in 1960, representing a true revolution in graphic design. Suddenly lettering could be done quickly and easily by anyone and demand was enormous. Through the following 40 years Letraset developed an extensive typeface library encompassing both dry transfer and digital formats.

In the 1970s the Letragraphica range provided innovative typefaces designed by the world's leading designers. This was continued in the 1980s with the introduction of Letragraphica Premier.

In the 1990s the focus moved towards digital design with the introduction of the Fontek Display Typeface Library with over 300 typefaces drawn from the Letraset Dry Transfer library and with many new and contemporary faces.

For 2003 and beyond, Letraset continues to proactively seek out and successfully market high quality, innovative typefaces.
