Microsoft Extends Long-Standing
License Agreement with Bitstream
Microsoft's MSN TV service renews agreement for Bitstream's fast,
scalable, high-quality font rendering solution
CAMBRIDGE, MA July 8, 2003 Bitstream
Inc. (NASDAQ:
BITS ) announced today that Microsoft Corporation has renewed
its license for Bitstream's font rendering technology. This new agreement
allows Microsoft to continue to provide high-quality font rendering
on the MSN® TV service. MSN TV service is a leading provider of
Internet service on television. By
bringing Web access and E-mail directly to television, MSN TV service
provides an easy and affordable way for people to stay connected.
MSN TV service works by means of a compact Internet receiver connected
to a telephone line. Using a wireless keyboard or universal remote,
customers can easily send and receive E-mail, surf the Web, and
enjoy many benefits of being online - all from the comfort and convenience
of home.
