Partnership
Bitstream to be reseller of Linotype fonts
in the United States and Canada

July 18, 2003 Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ:
BITS) and Linotype GmbH announced today a partnership that enables
Bitstream to be a reseller of Linotype fonts in the United States
and Canada. Both Bitstream and Linotype
are known internationally as producers of high-quality typefaces.
Bitstream will resell Linotype fonts and Linotype font collections
in the United States and Canada. In addition, Bitstream and Linotype
plan to release new font collections with both Bitstream and Linotype
fonts, and explore other co-development possibilities.
All of the fonts in the Linotype Typeface
Library are available for purchase.
