Premier font rendering solution
Font Fusion is Bitstream's premier font engine, rendering high-quality characters in any font format, at any resolution, on any device. Designed especially for consumer electronics, cell phones, and small-screen displays, Font Fusion is a lightning fast, object-oriented font engine with an incredibly small footprint.

Our font engine can render any industry-standard font format, including our own stroke-based CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) fonts and other worldwide fonts for developers. Our code is very compact. For instance, the Font Fusion engine and a Traditional Chinese stroke-based font containing over 13,500 characters occupy less than 0.5 MB.

New line layout manager
Bitstream Panorama is our line layout manager. It is a high-level API that enables developers to draw strings of characters and lay out lines of text. Bitstream Panorama supports contextual substitution (for scripting languages such as Arabic and Indic), glyph substitution (for ligatures, swashes, alternate characters, etc.), and multi-directional writing.

When implementing Font Fusion and Bitstream Panorama, developers will also need a core set of fonts. Choose from our stroke-based fonts, delta-hinted fonts, custom-designed fonts, or the entire Bitstream Typeface Library.
