SEATTLE, WA and CAMBRIDGE, MA — March 29, 2005 — Connexion by Boeing and Bitstream Inc. ( NASDAQ: BITS) announced today that the Boeing business unit has licensed Bitstream’s Unicode font for its mobile Internet service. The agreement will help ensure that airline passengers from around the world, who wish to access the Internet, will be able to do so using a simplified font recognition process.

Each plane equipped with the Connexion by Boeing service offers either a wireless 802.11b network connection, an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) connection or both. Passengers who log into the service have access to the World Wide Web; two-way, real-time e-mail and their corporate intranet, including virtual private network capability; and entertainment content.

Bitstream’s Unicode font provides extended language support in a single font. It supports extended characters and currency symbols; Baltic, Central European, Cyrillic, Greek, and Turkish characters; Hebrew and Arabic characters; and Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese characters.
