( NASDAQ: BITS) and Embedded Internet Solutions (EIS) announced today that EIS has signed an agreement with Bitstream to license Font Fusion (Bitstream’s premier font rendering engine), Bitstream’s compact stroke-based Asian fonts, and Bitstream’s Thai and Vietnamese fonts for its iPanel Digital TV middleware.

Embedded Internet Solutions’ iPanel middleware is the most popular middleware solution for the Asia-Pacific digital TV market. iPanel middleware delivers rich interactive applications with low hardware requirements. iPanel middleware solutions include client software for set-top boxes, head-end delivery systems, application development platforms, and authoring tools.
