Problems Recording Fonts Problem
WebFont Wizard displays a warning message saying the selected
font cannot be embedded.
Solution
There are two possible reasons for this message.
- Some font manufacturers do not want you to record their fonts
for use on the Web. Bitstream respects their wishes. If the font
manufacturer has set the embedding bits to prevent embedding the
font, then you cannot create a portable font resource (PFR) for
the font.
- If you have installed the same font in both TrueType and PostScript
Type 1 formats, you will see the same message that the font
cannot be embedded.
Close WebFont Wizard and uninstall either the TrueType or Postscript
Type 1 version of the font. Assuming the font manufacturer
allows the font to be embedded, you should be able to create
a PFR when you restart WebFont Wizard.
