Font Names and Font File Names Problem
Bitstream font file names have lots of numbers in them. How can
I match the filename to its font name?
Solution
- Double-click a font file to display a sample of the font. The
font's name appears at the top of the sample window.
- If you purchased the font from Bitstream or a Bitstream font
reseller, the font disk includes a file named TYPEFACE.TXT. This
text file lists the font names and styles along with the file
names of the font files.
- If you install a font into the Windows Fonts folder, the font
appears in the fonts folder using its name and not the letters
and numbers of the file name. To find out the name of the font
file:
- Select the font in the Fonts folder.
- Choose File > Properties.
- The file name appears at the top of the Properties window.
