Anna
M. Chagnon
President and
Chief Executive Officer
Anna Chagnon has served as Chief Executive
Officer of the Company since October 2003 and as President since
August 2000. She has previously served in various positions at the
company including Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer,
Chief Financial Officer, and General Counsel.
Prior to joining the company, she served as Counsel to Progress
Software Corporation, a developer and worldwide supplier of solutions
to build, deploy, and manage applications across Internet, client/server,
and host/terminal computing environments. She has also practiced
law at the Boston firms of Peabody & Arnold and Warner &
Stackpole, where she specialized in fields of corporate, securities,
finance, and intellectual property law.
Ms. Chagnon holds an MBA, summa cum laude, from Babson College.
She also holds a BS, summa cum laude, from Northeastern University,
and a JD from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California
at Berkeley.
Costas Kitsos
Vice President of Engineering Costas
Kitsos has headed up Pageflex's Research & Development arm since
its inception. He also serves as VP of Engineering for Bitstream.
Mr. Kitsos is a veteran software developer with over fifteen years'
experience in type and publishing application development.
Before joining Bitstream in 1996, Mr. Kitsos headed IconWorks, where
he developed award-winning type applications and offered consulting
services on end-user programs and graphical user interfaces.
He holds a Masters degree from the University of California, Los
Angeles.
James P. Dore
Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer Jim Dore was named a Vice President
and the Company's Chief Financial Officer in March 2003 and has
been the Company's Corporate Controller since June 1999.
Mr. Dore has over twenty years of service in various senior financial
positions. From January 1997 to June 1999, Mr. Dore served as Corporate
Controller at Celerity Solutions Inc. (bulletin board- CLTY), a
developer and marketer of supply chain and warehouse management
business software, he also served as Celerity's Chief Financial
Officer and Treasurer from April 1999 to June of 1999.
Mr. Dore holds a C.P.A. certificate and a B.S. degree, with distinction,
from Clarkson University.
Key Development Directors
Jeffrey Caruso, Ph.D. Rocket
Scientist Jeffrey Caruso has worked for Pageflex and its
predecessors since August 1998. He is assigned to the team developing
the NuDoc composition engine and is the Company's representative
to the XSL Working Group.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Caruso taught courses and performed research
in pure and applied mathematics at Cambridge University in England.
From 1991 to 1996, he was Chief Scientist of Information International,
Inc., continuing in that role at Autologic Information International.
From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Caruso was a key member of the development
team at Archetype, Inc., during which time it developed the original
technology that evolved into today's NuDoc engine.
From 1985 to 1987, he was Software Manager of Drane Associations
in Nashua, New Hampshire, and from 1983 to 1985 he was a Senior
Computer Scientist for Carlisle Systems, Inc. Prior to Carlisle
Systems, he was a founding employee and principal developer at Atex
Media Solutions, Inc., where he developed the original editing and
operating system software of the Atex publishing system.
Mr. Caruso holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of
Chicago and a BS in Mathematics from MIT.
Stephanie Houde
Director of Product Design Stephanie
Houde has been the lead designer of Pageflex products since their
first release in 1998.
Before joining Pageflex, she spent six years as a member of the
research staff in the Advanced Technology Group of Apple Computer,
Inc. There, she lead projects aimed at developing new authoring
tools and user interfaces for multimedia and 3D graphics applications.
She published multiple papers on interaction design topics, and
she frequently spoke at industry conferences.
Ms. Houde studied architecture at Wellesley College as an undergraduate
and earned a master's degree in graphic design from The Massachusetts
College of Art.
Rick Mohr, Ph.D.
Director of NuDoc Development Rick Mohr
has served as architect of the NuDoc engine and Director of NuDoc
Development for Pageflex and its predecessors since 1993. He coordinates
NuDoc design and development, enabling both Pageflex and its customers
to create state-of-the-art publishing applications.
Mr. Mohr has published many articles in computer science journals
and frequently speaks at industry conferences.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale in 1991. |
